On Tuesday, we covered an article from Italy suggesting that Juventus had made a first move regarding the potential transfer of Mohamed Salah.
The Liverpool forward is out of contract in 2023 at Anfield, and while he would normally be too expensive for the Turin side, they still hold onto the hope that a deal could be struck in the summer.
The main reason for that is they are about to lose Paulo Dybala on a free, and Gazzetta dello Sport claimed they had asked for information about the Egypt international.
This is a line the newspaper keeps pushing on Wednesday, as Gazzetta features a large spread about the Liverpool star and Juventus’ interest in him.
They explain the first move to enquire about information is due to the fact he would be ‘a perfect complement to a trident with Vlahovic as a landmark and Chiesa on the left’, and ‘would be more than welcome to Allegri’.
It’s pointed out Liverpool ‘may not have closed a possible sale, given the contractual situation, but the operation remains complex’.
However, with wages the main reason why a renewal with Dybala fell through, the fact Salah is looking for more than the current €11m/year he is earning at Anfield could be a problem.
Should he stick to that, the chances of pleasing him ‘would be low’, but Juventus have already shown they can change their plans for the right player, much like they did with Vlahovic.
