Loris Karius is on the verge of leaving Liverpool on loan again, report Kicker.
The goalkeeper spent the past two seasons at Besiktas and had a very up and down time with the club. Some of his performances were widely questioned in the Turkish media, but as the period went on he managed to win over at least some of his critics.
A row about unpaid wages meant it was very unlikely Karius would remain with the club, and Besiktas didn’t make any real effort for a permanent transfer from Liverpool.
Kicker say the German is now on the verge of a move to Union Berlin. The Bundesliga club are ‘about to sign’ the goalkeeper, and it’s explained he’s found an agreement over the move.
Liverpool and Union Berlin must have also come to some kind of agreement, with it being stated the player will move on a one year loan. At the end of that period he’ll have a year left on his contract with the Reds, and a permanent transfer may be on the cards.
