The Italian media today brings some confident claims that Roma are getting closer to finding a deal to sign Dejan Lovren from Liverpool.
One of the reports came from Tutto Mercato Web. They brought updates on multiple targets the Serie A side have, and say that an agreement with Liverpool shouldn’t be a problem.
According to the outlet, Lovren’s agent has told Roma that a move could be done for only €15m, with no other payments.
The issue would be that Lovren makes over €4m net per season at Liverpool, and Roma’s idea would be to pay up to €3.3m.
But perhaps the salary would actually not be an problem, because as reported by Sky Italia today, the Giallorrosi have actually found a deal with the player.
The claims, which are covered by Calcio Mercato, say the defender has agreed a contract to make €3m a year in Italy.
Their report says the issue would be what transfer fee Liverpool want. It’s claimed the Reds started by demanding €28m, then dropped to €20m, and Roma still think it’s too much.
If we gather the positive notes from each report, then Roma would have a deal to sign Lovren. Let’s see if any of it is true.
