Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian could end up as a target for Spanish side Real Betis this summer.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who say the Liverpool goalkeeper is a player the La Liga club are looking at ahead of the summer transfer window.
The website explains that Betis are looking for a serious back up to Joel Robles, who is the club’s number one.
They had ‘toyed’ with the idea of making a signing in January but ultimately ‘postponed’ any plans until the summer.
Their number one target is Atlético Madrid goalkeeper Antonio Adán, who will be available on a free in June and thus would cost the club nothing.
That’s the route Betis want to go down in their search for a number two and, thus, Liverpool’s Adrian is also a potential target.
He joined Liverpool this summer on a deal until 2021, although according to Estadio the second year of this deal is ‘optional’.
That means he could be available to make an emotional return to the club where he started his career.
However, according to Transfermarkt, Adrian is signed for two years, with a third year optional. If they’re correct, then Betis could once again be left disappointed when chasing the goalkeeper.
