Earlier today we covered claims from Belgium’s DH about Thorgan Hazard’s situation at Borussia Monchengladbach.
It was reported that he’s decided against renewing with the German club, something they confirmed on Monday, and has come to the conclusion Borussia Dortmund is likely the best destination for him.
Liverpool were said to be keen and willing to pay more than the Bundesliga club, so Gladbach would prefer to send their player there rather than to Dortmund.
Whilst Liverpool interest was described as ‘flattering’ for the player, it was explained he’d rather go to BVB because he feels he’d have a much better chance of getting the minutes he wants.
Monday’s edition of Het Nieuwsblad goes with a very similar story, but with a few different details.
They say Gladbach are pushing Hazard towards Liverpool, and state that Dortmund have made a €42m offer. The Premier League club ‘offers’ more, according to the claim.
Again, the player’s preference for the German side is stated, partly because he feels very comfortable in the Bundesliga, and the situation at the Reds seems ‘much more complex’ to him.
