Liverpool have made their first offer for Celta Vigo rising star Gabriel Veiga, presenting a €25m initial bid for the youngster.
That’s according to Deportes COPE Galicia, relayed by Estadio Deportivo, who say the Reds have made a ‘juicy offer’ for the highly sought after midfielder.
Veiga is one of the rising stars of European and Spanish football and has been linked with a move away from Celta Vigo all summer after impressing last season.
Liverpool are thought to be chief among his admirers as Jurgen Klopp completely rebuilds his midfield this season, although the deals for Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai has seen any talk of a move die off of late.
That offer has come from Liverpool, who have proposed a ‘juicy’ €25m deal for the player which would include him returning to the club on loan next season.
That bid is quite far away from the player’s €40m release clause but those in charge at Anfield are hoping that the idea of leaving him at Celta Vigo for another year would be tempting to the Spanish club.
That remains to be seen but Liverpool have made their first move and the race for Veiga seems set to start up once again.
