Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has hailed this current Reds team as ‘one of the best ever‘ as they aim for more trophies this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are competing on all fronts once again this year, having clawed Manchester City back at the top of the table.
There’s now just a point between the two sides, who’ve both played 29 games, meaning the run-in could be one of the closest in recent years.
Coupled with that, Liverpool are also through to the Champions League quarter-finals, where they will meet Benfica, a side many expect them to overcome comfortably.
There is also an FA Cup semi-final with Manchester City on the cards, while they already beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final earlier this year.
It means Liverpool could pick up four trophies this season if things go to plan, an achievement that would only add to the growing belief they are one of the best English sides of all time.
“You know, as a Liverpool fan, what you see with this team, what they do together, you can say they are arguably one of the best Liverpool teams ever,” he told L’Express.
“They deserve to win several trophies. They have a chance of winning the championship this year.
“They are even capable of winning all the trophies or getting the treble because they are really good. Certainly, as a former pro player, we can say that if you win difficult matches, it means that you are doing well.
“This is what the players and the fans wanted. No one at Liverpool can complain about that. The more difficult matches we play, the more it means that we are successful.”
