Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has made it clear that he wouldn’t join Real Madrid because he doesn’t want to play alongside Sergio Ramos.
El Desmarque report that Real Madrid chief Florentino Pérez has been ‘testing the possibility’ of taking Salah to the Bernabeu in future.
However, he has received an unexpected and ‘surprising refusal’ from the Liverpool forward, who has made it clear he doesn’t want the move.
According to the report, Salah has not forgiven Sergio Ramos for the role he played in Salah’s injury in the 2018 Champions League final.
The Egyptian believes that Ramos deliberately injured him in that game and Ramos’ failure to call and apologise is something that Salah has not forgotten.
As a result, he ‘does not want to know anything’ about Real Madrid. In fact, the Liverpool forward’s agent has told Pérez that if he had to join any Spanish team, it would be Barcelona.
He’s always liked Barça and would only go there, but their capture of Antoine Griezmann this summer has ‘completely ruled out’ signing Salah.
He, instead, looks likely to stay at Liverpool with a move to Spanish football ‘difficult to imagine’ in the future.
