Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin is likely to be on Paris Saint Germain’s list of options this summer as they look to improve their options at right-back.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who say the Spaniard ‘will have to be followed’ as his name appears as a target every summer.
Bellerin has reportedly been told he can leave Arsenal this summer, with Mikel Arteta not that keen and willing to sell to raise funds for elsewhere in the squad.
That’s seen him linked with several moves, including PSG, where he has been named as a potential target over the last few years.
This summer could be the one in which it finally happens, with L’Equipe reporting that PSG are planning a ‘major overhaul’ of the right side of their defence this summer.
They currently have Alessandro Florenzi on loan from Roma and have an option to buy him, but he has struggled to impress, and those ‘deficiencies’ have not gone unnoticed internally.
Indeed, there is a feeling that he doesn’t fit in under Mauricio Pochettino and so PSG chief Leonardo is ‘scouring the market’ to find a long-term replacement.
They state that ‘as with every summer’ Arsenal’s Bellerin is one name that will have to be watched closely in the coming months.
That’s all they have to say on the matter, and there’s no indication from the newspaper that they’re all that keen on Bellerin.
In fact, this report is more a case of them saying he’s likely to be on the list after being linked in the past, so we won’t get too excited about a potential move just yet.
