Leicester City have been considering an option to sign Juventus winger Marko Pjaca.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, in the last few hours, the Foxes ‘tried seriously’ to convince the Croatian wide-man to join them initially on a loan deal with an obligation to sign him on a permanent transfer.
The 23-year-old rejected the opportunity to make a switch to England because he has no plans of playing in the Premier League, for now anyway.
The same report also mentions Claude Puel’s side are looking at another Serie A player, Joao Mario.
Inter Milan allowed the midfielder to spend the second half of the last season on loan at West Ham United. After participating in the 2018 World Cup with Portugal, the ex-Sporting man has returned to his parent club.
Mario is not included in Luciano Spalletti’s plans for the new season. The English club’s talks with the Nerazzurri for the 25-year-old continue, but Alfredo Pedulla claims it is not simple because the player already has two to three proposals and none of them satisfy Inter’s demands.
