Leicester City have stepped up their efforts to sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Adam Hložek this summer, according to a report from Germany.
The forward was restricted to over 1,000 minutes from 36 games last season, managing seven goals and five assists in the process.
The 20-year-old’s performances and potential seem to have convinced Leicester to bet on him, according to Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg.
He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim the English club have reached a ‘total agreement’ with the Bundesliga winners to sign the player on loan with an obligation to buy set at €17-18m.
Steve Cooper’s side are yet to find an agreement with the Czech international and the journalist says there are still a few details that have to be ironed out.
Plettenberg hasn’t specified what those details are but says both Leicester and Xabi Alonso’s side are confident that this deal will go through as he’ll have a ‘medical soon’.
Hložek will leave the German club in this window and Leicester are set to be his next destination, unless they fail to agree a deal with him.
