Bought from Gazélec Ajaccio back in 2018, Fousseni Diabaté never quite made the cut at Leicester City, featuring just 19 times over the course of two full seasons.
Loans with Sivasspor in the Süper Lig and Amiens SC in France last year allowed him to get first-team football, but it appears his time with the Foxes is now up.
That’s according to claims in Turkey stating the player is on the verge of signing a three-year contract with Trabzonspor.
Having just lost Alexander Sørloth to RB Leipzig, the Turkish side are in need of attacking reinforcements, which is where Diabaté seems to come in.

Not exactly a like for like replacement, the forward does provide some versatility in attack, and has been known to play through the middle at times.
Either way, the news comes from local outlet 61saat, who reported on Wednesday that Trabzonspor had ‘reached an agreement’ with the player ‘on every issue’.
Adding to that, their reporter Hasan Tüncel claimed Diabaté is ‘expected to come to Trabzon in the coming days’.
We’ve yet to see any figures about this just yet, but DHA, another outlet, have stated the Malian forward ‘will sign a three year deal’.
