It’s been a busy day in the Adrien Silva exit storyline, starting with Foot Mercato speaking to the player’s father and agent, who admitted his client had received offers from France, Spain and Italy.
Then, a few hours later, we found he’d also spoken to A Bola in Portugal, where he accused Claude Puel of picking on his son, annoyed at the fact clubs have come in for the Portugal international despite him barely featuring at King Power Stadium.
Other than Sporting CP and the vague mention of Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain interest, the names of interested clubs haven’t really filtered, but Estadio Deportivo in Spain believe Sevilla is one of them.
Currently trying to sign Marko Rog from Napoli, the La Liga side have targeted Silva as an ‘alternative’ to the Croatian, with contacts being kept open.
The idea here would be to fall back on the Leicester midfielder if the door leading to their primary target were to shut, and they shouldn’t have too much problem in convincing him,
Estadio Deportivo state the Sevilla option is the one that ’seduces him the most, enjoying the idea of being a main protagonist in a ‘great league’, hopefully leading to being called back to the Portugal national team.
This probably won’t cheer Claude Puel up.
