Sporting’s plan of hoping the January transfer window is quiet for Adrien Silva, allowing them to swoop at the death and get Adrien Silva back for a pittance isn’t exactly going well.

Whilst claims in Turkey of a move to the Super Lig seem, at best, a little premature, the player’s agent and father has revealed there’s certainly interest from elsewhere.

Adrien only has 88 minutes of Premier League football so far this season, and whilst Claude Puel has given him time in the EFL Cup, it’s hardly enough to keep the 29 year old happy.

Aside from getting a big pay rise, the move to Leicester City has been an all-round failure, especially when it’s considered he couldn’t play at all for his first half season with the club.

Speaking to France’s FootMercato, Manuel Silva, Adrien’s father and agent, explained: “Adrien has not been summoned for several matches. It’s a decision of the coach that we respect. Adrien respects the club and the coach’s choices.

“We have proposals for a loan for the next six months in France, Spain and Italy. Adrien, he just wants playing time to find his place in the national selection of Portugal.”

The UEFA Nations League finals will be held in Portugal later this year, and it’s a good target for Adrien to aim for.

He has a contract with Leicester City lasting until June 2021.
