Leicester City and Watford were reportedly two of the clubs who had scouts at the Estádio da Luz last night to watch Portugal’s game against Serbia.
It’s newspaper O Jogo who reports the list of scouts for the Euro Qualifiers game, although they don’t seem to know who the Hornets and Foxes were keeping an eye on.
Serbia opened the scoring with a penalty from Dusan Tadic, and Portugal found an equaliser still in the first half with a beautiful goal by Danilo.
Other players such as Serbian goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic, Portuguese left-back Raphael Guerreiro and midfielder Bruno Fernandes had a pretty good match as well.
Neither Watford or Leicester City have been linked to Portuguese or Serbian players lately, though.
The Hornets keep scouting several matches from the Portuguese league, but still, the local press hasn’t pointed out who their targets are.
So maybe some new rumours will be born from this scouting mission.
