Leicester City defender Luis Hernandez is on the verge of leaving the Premier League champions, acccording to repots in the Spanish media. The Argentine only joined Leicester City in the summer, but has rarely figured in Claudio Ranieri’s team.
Marca have today reported Hernandez’s medical with Malaga passed without any problems, and the player is now hours away from joining the Spanish side.
The Leicester City player will initially join Malaga on loan until the end of the season, and in the summer they have an obligation to make the deal permanent for a fee of €2m.
The finer details of the deal will now be dealt with, and its expected his move back to Spain will be officially announced sometime today.
Hernandez joined Leicester City from Sporting Gijon in the last window, but has played just seven games for the English club. Hernandez has played just three Premier League games all season, but did figure in half of Leicester City’s Champions League group stage matches.
