Currently loaned at Spezia from Milan, Tommaso Pobega is attracting attention from England with his performances.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who claim Leicester City, currently managed by Brendan Rodgers, are ‘in pressing’ for the young midfielder.
Arriving in 2013 from US Triestina’s youth, the 21-year-old has slowly but surely climbed the ranks at San Siro, although he has yet to make a first-team appearance for the club.
First sent on loan to Ternana and Pordenone before his move to Spezia, Pobega is also an Italy U20 international, with five caps to his name and two goals.
Aside from all that, he may never feature for Milan under Stefano Pioli, as TuttoMercatoWeb explain the Serie A side ‘value a sale’ and ‘the possibility of the player going abroad is concrete’.
Other than Leicester, who are described as ‘serious’ in their pursuit, Eintracht Frankfurt are also after him, causing a bit of competition for the Premier League side.
One to keep an eye on.
