Fanatik report Leicester City loanee Islam Slimani will not feature again for Fenerbahce, with the Algerian striker set to spend the rest of the season in the reserves.
Slimani has scored just one league goal for the Yellow Canaries this season and subsequently the club’s manager Ersun Yanal has now left him out of his plans for the remaining games.
According to Fanatik, Slimani’s time with Fenerbahce is effectively over and Roberto Soldado will be their first choice No.9 for the remainder of the campaign. Yanal is also ready to use Victor Moses or Andre Ayew if Soldado isn’t available.
The Leicester City player has become a something of a pantomime villain at the club with a series of poor performances and perceived bad behaviour both on and off the pitch.
Fenerbahce reportedly wanted to cut his loan deal short during the January transfer window but Leicester City rejected the idea of taking him back. There were also claims he was close to a loan move to Spain with Real Betis.
