Manchester United’s chase for the Valencia left-back José Gaya has been a transfer rumour in the past few days, with the English and the Spanish media talking about it.
It started with news from The Mirror claiming that the Spaniard would cost about only £30m. The report was quickly dismissed by Catalan outlet Mundo Deportivo, who said that the player is only leaving for €100m.
Now Valencian outlet El Desmarque are covering the claims, and according to a new story, they managed to speak to people close to the player about a potential exit.
What the outlet learned is that Gaya knows nothing about a transfer so far. He reportedly is happy at Valencia and wants to stay at the club for next season.
But, and this could be crucial, the story claims Gaya would only leave if a ‘dizzying offer’ comes, and it should delivered by Valencia, telling him that the bid would be profitable for the club.
That sounds pretty much like a player wanting to keep a fine relationship with his club. Now the question is if Gaya would cost Manchester United £30m, €100m, or something between that.
