Earlier today we covered reports from Italy that Leeds United co-owner Massimo Cellino has tabled an official offer to buy into Brescia.
The Italian looks to be on the verge of selling his 50% stake in Leeds United, and there are now claims he could be reunited with Nicola Salerno if he returns to Italy this summer.
TMW have reported on new developments with regards to Cellino’s interest in Brescia, with claims former Leeds United sporting director Salerno could join him at the Serie B side.
Salerno is currently without a job after resigning from his post at Palermo last month, and recently suggested he would be interested in joining up again with Cellino, if he was no longer with the Sicilian club.
Cellino is ready to sell his remaining Leeds United shares to Andrea Radrizzani in the coming weeks. This would allow him to purchase Brescia after the Italian club avoided relegation from Serie B.
Cellino initially worked with Salerno whilst he was the Cagliari president and owner before they were reunited at Leeds United in 2014.
In the first 12 months at Leeds United the two Italians adopted a policy of recruiting from their home country with mixed results, before Salerno left for Watford.
