Leeds United have been linked with a last minute move for ADO Den Haag defender Tom Beugelsdijk. The Championship side have already brought in eleven new signings this summer, but could still add to this before next week’s deadline.
Voetbal Primeur have reported on claims in the British media that Leeds United sent scouts to Holland last weekend to watch ADO Den Haag take on Excelsior. It’s been reported Garry Monk is impressed with the Dutchman, and his physicality would make him suitable for English football.
It’s also been revealed Birmingham City, Blackpool and Rotherham United were showing an interest in the 26-year-old two seasons ago.
Beugelsdijk is seen as something of a cult hero with the ADO Den Haag fans according to Voetbal Primeur, after coming through the Dutch side’s youth system, and then making the step up to the senior team.
The central defender is in his second spell with the club after he returned last year following a spell in Germany with FSV Frankfurt.
