Ternana forward Felipe Avenatti has been linked with a move to Lazio following his goalscoring displays this season. The Uruguayan is being followed by other Serie A clubs, and Leeds United have also been showing an interest.
Inzaghi currently has Ciro Immobile and Keita Balde at his disposal, so Avenatti would likely provide back-up to Lazio’s two main strikers, although it’s worth pointing out Keita Balde has been heavily linked with an exit himself. It’s also been claimed Palermo are interested in the South American as they look to avoid the drop to Serie B.
Leeds United did try to sign the South American in the last window as Garry Monk looked to bolster his attacking options, and he is likely to be impressed with Avenatti’s goalscoring form this season.
Ternana coach Benito Carbone, once of Leeds United’s coaching staff, recently said the 23-year-old would be a perfect fit for English football.
Avenatti is out of contract in the summer meaning interested clubs like Leeds United can now speak to the player with regards to a pre-contract agreement.
