Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has laughed off the atmosphere during Sweden’s 2-0 loss to Austria in Vienna last night.
The speaker at the Generali Arena blasted music out just after kick off in both halves, which the Swedish media have compared to a hockey game.
Speaking to Expressen after the game the Leeds United star was asked about the music being played: “Yes, I did not think about it then but yes… like that, we didn’t like it”
Jansson added when asked if it was more like a Malmo Redhawks game than a Malmo FF match: “Yes exactly. It says it all!”
The Swede was captaining his country for the first-time last night after Anderas Granqvist was rested ahead of next weeks UEFA League Nations clash against Turkey.
However, the Leeds United player will be hoping he can retain his place in the team for the match in Stockholm.
Jansson recently explained that he’s in great shape at the moment after making sacrifices with his diet in preseason and he’ll looking to play a key role for both Marcelo Bielsa and Janne Andersson in the coming months.
