According to a claim in the Swedish media, Leeds United forward Marcus Antonsson is on the verge of joining Malmo.
The 28 year old was expected to leave the Championship side this summer and has been linked with a return to Sweden in recent weeks.
Expressen report Leeds United have allowed Antonsson to hold talks with Malmo and his transfer to the Swedish champions could be announced very soon. It’s even been claimed the player will undergo a medical today before a possible return to his home country.
There are no reports if this will be a loan or permanent move. The Swede was loaned to Blackburn Rovers last season.
Antonsson has already been linked with Brescia this summer, but he turned down a move due to the salary the Serie B side offered him.
Last week the Leeds United player was linked with Hammarby, but it seems Malmo have won the race to sign the forward over their Swedish rivals.
