It’s never enough for Tuttosport.
For years the Turin newspaper has wanted a signing which a blockbuster above all others. They’ve had countless front pages claiming various players could be signed by local club Juventus, and they got their wildest dream this week when it was announced Cristiano Ronaldo would be joining.
And yet today they have Ronaldo on their front page accompanied by Paul Pogba, Diego Godin and Aleksandr Golovin.
All these players, it’s suggested, could now quite fancy a move to Juve in order to play alongside Ronaldo.
So where do Manchester City enter the story?
Well, the money needs to come from somewhere and over the past week or so, Tuttosport have convinced themselves City want Miralem Pjanic. Of course, it’s stated he wants to stay, but the market could decide otherwise.
Barca are said to be keen as well, but the ‘Sheikhs’ of Manchester City could arrive with a ‘classic’ offer that’s too good to turn down, and that would provide money to go after Pogba and others.Tuttosport have got it all worked out, the question is whether there’s genuine Pep Guardiola interest, or whether this is a dream being taken too far.
