As you may be aware, Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca is extremely delighted to have ended up at Real Betis this season.
The Spaniard has done nothing but praise his new team since joining them in the summer transfer window and that’s continued today via Estadio Deportivo.
Roca joined the Spanish side in the summer after taking advantage of a clause in his contract at Elland Road which allowed him to leave on loan following relegation.
He made it clear from day one how delighted he was to be back in Spain after a difficult few years at Bayern and then Leeds and has been showing that on the pitch too, with several impressive performances and numbers to reflect as much.
This weekend sees him take part in his first Seville derby as Betis take on rivals Sevilla as Manuel Pellegrini’s side look to continue a solid start to the season.
That’s led Roca to talk to various media outlets in Spain ahead of the game today, during which he was at pains to again share his delight at how things are going and discuss a possible permanent move from Leeds.
“I am comfortable here and I have entered the locker room very well,” he said.
“We are performing at a good level; I am comfortable with my teammates and the fans. It is a delight to be here and everything else is the work of my representative and Betis.
“I’m excited and happy and from there we’ll see what happens.”
