Leeds United are keen on FC Augsburg’s Finn Dahmen and a move to the Premier League could help the player catch Thomas Tuchel’s attention, report SportBild.
The 27-year-old is a goalkeeper and has been with Augsburg since 2023, when he moved from Mainz 05. Dahmen has played for Germany from U15 to U21 level, but he’s eligible to represent England because his mother is English.
SportBild present this a positive factor for the move, saying it would give him a chance to impress Tuchel. Whether they’re pushing that particular factor too much remains to be seen.
Dahmen recently had his Augsburg contract automatically extended after making 50 appearance for the club, this will mean it lasts until June 2027.
SportBild don’t say whether Leeds United have made contact with the goalkeeper’s camp or with the Bundesliga club, and there’s no indiciation of an asking price at the moment in time.
Dahmen is represented by CN Sport, whose most valuable client is RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Henrichs.
