According to claims in the Italian media Lugano are the favourites to sign Cagliari defender Bartosz Salamon. Yesterday we covered reports from Italy that Leeds United could face a fight with the Swiss club to land the Poland international.
Pianeta Milan (via Gazzetta.ie) have today reported Salamon is likely to sign for Lugnao this summer, despite the interest from Leeds United. The Switzerland based club could now come in with an offer for the defender after Cagliari brought in Marco Andreolli from Inter Milan on Friday.-
In recent weeks Salamon has been linked with a move to Leeds United with reports the Championship side could exchange Giuseppe Bellusci for the Pole.
Despite starting preseason with Leeds United Bellusci could still return to Italy before the deadline, but these latest developments put doubt over a move to Cagliari for the 28 year old.
Bologna and SPAL have also been taking an interest in the Leeds United defender.
