Dundee forward Kane Hemmings has played down speculation he will be leaving the SPL club this summer. The former Rangers player scored 25 goals last season for Dundee, which has brought him to the attention of other clubs, including Leeds United.

Hemmings is currently away with Dundee on the club’s pre-season tour of Austria, and spoke to the Dundee Evening Telegraph about his future.

The forward confirmed he was happy at Dundee despite being linked with clubs in England. Hemmings believes the set up at Dundee is good at the moment, and therefore feels he doesn’t need to move at this stage of his career.

“I am happy here. We have a good set of boys, I am getting playing time and scoring goals so why would I want to be moving anywhere?” said the forward.

Last month we reported Leeds United were in the running for Hemmings, and it would need a seven figure bid to land the player. Hemmings is contracted to Dundee for the next two seasons.
