Missing out on the final game of the season with a last-minute injury, Anthony Martial may have played his final game for Manchester United, at least if all the rumours circulating are to be believed.

Yet to comment on what his future holds, the French winger has mainly been linked with a move to Juventus, although other sides have popped up here and there, mostly thanks to Le10 Sport.

The French website claimed last week that Borussia Dortmund had come knocking, having a chat with Martial’s entourage, and now it’s Atlético Madrid’s turn.

According to Le10, the La Liga club have ‘asked for information’ about the forward’s situation, but that’s as far as things have gone.

No ‘concrete discussions’ have taken place, but there’s a belief ‘an offer isn’t to be excluded in the coming weeks’.

The thought process behind all this is for Martial to replace Antoine Griezmann should the Atlético Madrid star leave Spain’s capital in the near future to try his luck at a ‘bigger’ club like Barcelona.

Then again, if all this is true and Manchester United still have the slightest interest in the former Real Sociedad winger, expect some sort of swap rumour to emerge in the near future.

You cannot exclude anything in the world of transfer stories. We’ve learnt that the hard way.
