Arsenal have been periodically linked with Rafinha for some time now. The Barcelona player remains on the fringes of thinking at the Camp Nou, and is recovering from another knee injury.
It was Luis Enrique who was supposed to be the big backer of Rafinha, and with him gone, and the return of Gerard Deulofeu, things are looking more difficult for the Brazilian.
Arsenal and/or Liverpool usually get linked at times like these, and this time it’s the turn of Arsene Wenger’s club. Marca report that Rafinha has ‘very interesting proposals’ from the Premier League, with it then being stated Arsenal are keen.
Arsenal are the only club mentioned this time around.
Rafinha doesn’t look to be an obvious signing for Wenger, but he may be able to add some quality in depth to the Arsenal squad.
His injury record would be a worry, and if any interest is genuine, it could all depend on what levels Barcelona would choose to negotiate at.
What’s happened with Hector Bellerin probably wouldn’t play too big a part, given that Barcelona aren’t desperate to keep Rafinha, and Arsenal could be taking a problem off their hands.
