According to claim in the Turkish media, Valencia have joined the race to sign Fernerbahce midfielder Josef de Souza.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to the Premier League, following claims West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City have tabled offers for the player.
Fotomac have reported Valencia are the latest club to show an interest in Souza, with claims the Spanish side have made a bid for the central midfielder.
With Valencia chasing a Champions League spot this season, they’ll be looking to strengthen their squad in this transfer window, and Souza is an option.
However, it’s reported Valencia’s bid has been rejected by the Turkish club, as their manager Aykut Kocaman is keen to keep the South American.
In December we covered reports West Brom had tabled a bid of €15m for Souza as Alan Pardew looks to add to his squad in this window. The Baggies had previously been linked with Souza in the last window, when they came close to signing the player.
More recently it’s been reported Stoke City have made an offer for Souza, but their bid of €10m was deemed insufficient by Fenerbahce.
Since then Stoke City have been linked with Galatasaray midfielder Badou Ndiaye, with claims they’ve bid €16m for the Senegal international.
