According to a claim in the Italian media, Japp Stam is on the verge of leaving Reading, and crunch talks are currently being taken place.

Reading yesterday suffered a home defeat to Brentford, which could turn out to be Stam’s last game in charge of the Championship side.

TMW have reported Stam’s agent is in talks with Reading officials over the future of his client. It’s been claimed the two parties are trying to come to an agreement to cancel Stam’s contract by mutual consent, and, for TMW, that it looks like the Dutchman will be saying his goodbyes.

Stam is said to reluctant to resign from his post, so Reading and his agent are trying to come to some sort of an agreement which suits both sides.
