On Sunday, Manchester United confirmed their place in next season’s Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Leicester City.

Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard secured third place for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and condemned the Foxes to the Europa League next season.

Now the transfer budget will be better known, and Bild report Borussia Dortmund are ‘certain’ Manchester United are ‘serious’ about Jadon Sancho, given they’ve qualified for the Champions League.

Dortmund are presented as wanting €120m, and it’s claimed the Premier League club are ‘preparing a new offer’ for Sancho, having already had a €98m bid knocked back, according to Bild.

Sancho fancies a return to English football, and is also interested in joining Manchester United.

Bild state the deal would need doing within two weeks, because if Sancho is still with Dortmund when they go to their Swiss pre-season camp on August 10th, then he won’t be sold.

That could be a move to pressure Ed Woodward.
