Everton star Richarlison today held a press conference at the national team camp, and among the many subjects in the interview, he talked about his future with the Toffees.
The forward didn’t really want to get into details regarding what will happen this summer, but undoubtedly made it sound like a departure from the Goodison Park is a real scenario.
“I’ve already made it clear to the board, I’ve already talked to Lampard too, with my agents and they know what I want. Let’s wait for June,” Richarlison told the local media (via Globo Esporte)
“Now I can’t talk, because when we talk about leaving a club I’m kind of like this, because of the history I have at Everton, the affection that the fans have for me, when we talk about leaving I’m a little speechless.”
Since joining Everton, Richarlison has been heavily linked to an exit, and in the past few months, we’ve seen reports from Brazil claiming he’s wanted by the likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain, with even Tottenham Hotspur being included in the race.
The 25-year-old played a big part in saving Everton from relegation to the Championship this season, having 10 goals and five assists in 30 appearances in their Premier League campaign.
He’s now set to take part in Brazil’s friendlies against South Korea, Japan and Argentina.
