Antonio Conte’s situation at Chelsea is getting to a point where no one would have the courage to bet that he’s staying after the end of the season.
The manager’s bad alleged relationship with club and players has been the target of several media outlets for a few months now, regardless of which country is reporting it.
On Thursday, the Italian and the French press already mentioned the possibility of a move to Paris Saint Germain at the end of the season, and then on Friday, Yahoo UK claimed that Conte has already decided to leave Chelsea then. That is, if Roman Abramovich doesn’t sack him first.
Now there’s also a story from Calcio Mercato, which gives a bigger picture of why the situation is unlikely to change.
They claim that Abramovich is getting ‘tired[ of Conte’s excuses for each bad result that Chelsea have, including complaining about the busy calendar.
Demanding too much effort in training would be the main reason for the dissatisfaction from the players, which would have resulted in injuries to Kante, Morata and Moses.
And since the manager has never hidden his desire to go back to Italy, the rumours regarding a move to Milan only grow.
The Serie A club aren’t going through a good period form, and in case Vincenzo Montella gets sacked, then Conte could end up finding his way out of London.
