On Thursday, Italian website Tutto Mercato Web put out an exclusive story saying Paris Saint Germain would be interested in Antonio Conte.

The outlet claimed Unai Emery isn’t about to be sacked, because the club’s results have been good, but PSG’s board would be thinking about the future anyway.

That means club director Henrique Antero will make first approaches for the Chelsea boss in the next few weeks, just to become aware of his situation.

And this story then got some more credit, because French outlet Le10Sport confirmed the information just a few hours later.

They mention TMW’s article and then claim that their own sources have checked, and Antonio Conte is indeed on PSG’s shortlist for next season.

This list, which also includes Monaco’s Leonardo Jardim, was only made to evaluate the options in case a change of manager is needed.

PSG are making this first approach to know Conte’s situation and his contractual conditions. Then the club will be keeping an eye on the Italian boss for the next few months.

With both outlets publishing the same story on the same afternoon, it pushes the story somewhat.

Now: Will Chelsea do something to stop them?
