We know you’re a bit bored of the Pedro to AS Roma stories, but there’s a little update in the Italian newspapers on Friday we simply couldn’t ignore.
We won’t go into all the details, but just know that the Spaniard, who will be leaving Chelsea, is very close to joining the Serie A side, seemingly preferring to stay in Europe than trying his luck at more exotic destinations.
There have been many articles on the subject in the past, but Corriere della Sera add something in theirs, as they point out it ‘isn’t excluded’ that Pedro, ‘who doesn’t want to finish the season with Chelsea’, could travel to Rome ‘in the next few days’ to undergo his medicals ahead of him signing his contract with the Serie A side.
In doing so, the former Barcelona star would put an end to a five year spell at Stamford Bridge following his £25m move from the Catalan side back in 2015.
In that period, the forward scored 43 goals and picked up 28 assists in 201 appearances in all competitions.
