While he might not be a Leicester player for much longer, Nampalys Mendy remains contracted to the King Power Stadium until the end of the month.

In the meantime, the defensive midfielder is working on the next move of his career, with a number of clubs interested in his services.

We’ve already covered reports that Claude Puel, who is a big fan of the player, wanted him at Saint-Étienne, which was followed by claims that Nantes and Strasbourg were also keen.

While they might be, no moves have been made from their end just yet, according to Le10 Sport.

The French website explain that the Leicester player’s entourage they have had ‘no contact’ with either Nantes or Strasbourg.

It’s pointed out that, just like Saint-Étienne, neither club have the ‘financial means’ to make the move happen, meaning a return to France is looking difficult as things stand.

However, ‘talks are ongoing’ regarding a move abroad (meaning outside of France), and the Leicester man’s future will ‘soon be fixed’.
