Burnley’s Lyle Foster could end up at Ipswich Town before the window closes on Friday.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide an important update.
Tavolieri says the Burnley player is ‘now close’ to joining Ipswich Town on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
He adds the mandatory option is set at £25m. There’s no mention of the conditions that need to be fulfilled for Ipswich Town to buy him.
Burnley reportedly invested around €7m [£5.9m] to buy the forward from Belgian side KVC Westerlo in January 2023. The Clarets can make huge profit, when Ipswich Town make the South Africa international’s stay permanent for £25m.
The journalist says this is his own information and states that the two clubs haven’t yet found an agreement for the 23-year-old’s transfer. Kieran McKenna’s side are in ‘advanced talks’ with the Championship side, to find an agreement.
Foster may be open to joining Ipswich Town, but his stance isn’t categorically mentioned. He managed five goals and three assists from 24 Premier League games for Burnley last season.
