Earlier today we brought you an update on the future of Idrissa Gana Gueye and Paris Saint Germain’s interest in him.
The Ligue 1 champions are determined to sign the Everton midfielder this summer, with Thomas Tuchel a big fan of his.
He’s seemingly got Sporting Director Leonardo on board now and the clubs are negotiating on a deal, with Le Parisien reporting that PSG hope to have it tied up in ‘the coming weeks’.
Paris Fans cover the story today and confirm that PSG’s interest in the Senegal midfielder is genuine.
They report that Paris are pushing to get the signing done and there is little more to add than that. However, they claim that PSG want to sign both Gueye and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.
It had been reported in some quarters that it was a choice between the Serbian and Gueye but Paris Fans believe PSG are after both. In fact, they believe that negotiations are more advanced for Gueye at this stage, suggesting there is progress on that front.
They don’t offer up a price for either player but given Gueye has two years left on his deal at Everton, and they’ve no real desire to sell a key player, it seems unlikely they’ll move far from the €40m asking price they set in January.
