Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha has insisted he won’t be making a ‘quick decision’ about his future this summer.
Nmecha has spent the season on loan with Anderlecht in Belgium and hugely impressed, with 14 goals and three assists in 31 games in the league.
That loan deal expires this summer when he is expected o return to Manchester City and resolve his future.
His deal at the Etihad expires next year, meaning City either have to convince him to sign a new contract or sell him to avoid losing him on a free next year.
Anderlecht are keen to get him back and are pushing to make that happen, although doubts remain about whether they can match Manchester City’s asking price.
There are also suitors elsewhere, with it felt clubs in Germany and England could make a move for Nmecha after his impressive performances this year.
It means the 22-year-old has options in front of him, and he insists he will not be making any decisions on the fly.
“I try to keep my head clear; in the back of my mind, there is this issue, but I’m focused on the European Championship (U21 competition, with Germany) games now,” he told Kicker.
“When this is over, and hopefully we’ve won the title, then I’ll decide together with my family what the best next step is for me.
“The next move for me will be very important, I have to think about it carefully, and I won’t make a quick decision now.”
