Last week, we covered claims from Belgium that Leeds United have ‘profound interest’ in Yannick Bolasie.
The Everton owned player moved to Anderlecht on loan during the winter market, and an awful lot was expected of him in Belgium. He now has four goals and two assists in ten matches so far in Belgium, and there’s been much talk about his future.
It’s not thought that a stay in the country was the footballer’s idea when he moved on loan, although Anderlecht would surely like to secure a deal if it’s at all possible.
A return to English football has been thought likelier, with the Premier League the goal.
That means Leeds United would have to secure promotion from the Championship to make their chances of a deal better.
Bolasie has now been quizzed on the claims and didn’t seem to want to confirm interest from Marcelo Bielsa side, or completely deny it.
Quoted by Walfoot, the attacker stated: “Have I spoken to Bielsa? I have never heard of about that, frankly. I’m happy to be here and that’s what counts. I won’t stay? You never know.”
