With the futures of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané uncertain, and with Roberto Firmino’s contract also expiring in 2023, it isn’t surprising to see Liverpool linked with forwards.

Players such as Darwin Nuñez and Arnaut Danjuma have been said to be targets for Jürgen Klopp’s squad going forward, but there is another man who could be of use to them: Victor Osimhen.

That’s according to iconic striker Christian Vieri, who has his own Twitch channel called BoboTV, where he gave his two cents on who Liverpool should go after.

Relayed by Napoli Magazine, he said: “If I were Liverpool, I would go and take Osimhen from Napoli. Everyone runs in Klopp’s squad, they go a thousand miles an hour. He would be perfect.”

For those who might have missed the numerous articles on the matter, the Nigerian striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United said to be keen on his services.

To date, Liverpool haven’t really been in the mix, but there’s no denying the 23-year-old could certainly do the job up front at Anfield.

Tall, quick and with a fine technique, the striker helped Napoli qualify for the Champions League this season, scoring 18 goals in 32 games in all competitions, as well as picking up six assists.

However, the Serie A side aren’t overly keen to sell, meaning that a fee of around €100m would be needed to convince Aurelio De Laurentiis to part ways with his jewel.
