On Monday, Marca explained Real Madrid have Liverpool star Alexis Mac Allister’s name in their target list for the summer window.
Journalist José Félix Díaz covered this report for the Spanish newspaper. He was then a guest on Rubén Martín’s Twitch channel, and discussed Real Madrid’s interest in the midfielder.
Bernabéu Digital, who have relayed his comments, state Real Madrid have a firm interest in the Liverpool player.
Recent claims from the Spanish media have reported Real Sociedad’s Martín Zubimendi is the priority midfield target for Los Blancos. José Félix Díaz now explains the Argentina international has overtaken La Real’s star in the Champions League winner’s list.
“His option has fallen a little. Mac Allister is closer to Real Madrid than Zubimendi,” he said.
The Marca journalist has insisted Real Madrid sources continue to deny any interest in strengthening the midfield in the summer window.
“I ask about him [Mac Allister] and they tell me they’re not going to sign any midfielders, but I don’t believe it,” José Félix Díaz explained.
With regards to the World Cup winner, José Félix Díaz explained he’s unable to elaborate at this point in time.
“I know more things, but I can’t tell them yet,” he added.
Mac Allister’s contract with the Reds lasts until 2028 and last week his father Carlos said the South American has no plans to leave Liverpool in the near future.
