Leicester City have been warned they face a ‘tough task’ to overcome Roma in their meeting in the Europa Conference League this evening.
The Foxes travel to Rome tonight for the second leg of their semi-final clash, with Jose Mourinho’s side looking to book their place in the final of the competition.
The tie is finely balanced after a 1-1 draw in Leicester last week, which saw Gianluca Mancini’s own goal level the scores after Lorenzo Pellegrini’s early opener.
This game is likely to be a similarly tight affair, although the advantage will be Roma’s, given they’ll have the home crowd pushing them on at the Stadio Olimpico.
Mourinho’s side have actually been in good form at home this season, sitting fourth in the home form table in Serie A with just three defeats in 18 all year.
It’s been a similar story in Europe, and analyst Filip Joos believes Leicester will have to be at the top of their game to book their place in the final.
“I don’t think Leicester are favourites,” Sporza report him saying.
“They should have won their home game. I expect Roma to go for it with a sold-out stadium. The key question, of course, is: are they capable of doing that?
“If Chris Smalling defends as strongly as he did last week, it will be a tough story for Leicester. I’m also looking at Tammy Abraham and Nicolo Zaniolo. The former has proved to be a great acquisition.
“Tielemans remains an important link but is played in a position where he cannot decide the game with one action. That also has a lot to do with the development of Dewsbury-Hall.
“Brendan Rodgers believes in him blindly, and you can’t blame him. He is one of the most dynamic players and eats up a huge amount of metres.”
