Earlier on Monday, we covered an article from Gazzetta dello Sport stating that Juventus were now looking at Sofyan Amrabat to bolster their midfield amid interest from Manchester United.

It was said they were aware that the Red Devils could trigger a bid at any time and out-finance them, and therefore it would be hard for them to compete.

Well, Corriere dello Sport have a story of their own on Manchester United and Amrabat, where they also involve Sheffield United.

One of the reasons for this is that Sander Berge, often linked with a move away from the Blades, is one of the players they are considering to replace the Morocco international should they sell him.

Berge has been a great servant to Sheffield United since his arrival at the club, and many have felt he could have, and probably should have, left when they went down to the Championship last.

However, he stuck around and helped Paul Heckingbottom’s club return to the Premier League, but a move still isn’t off the table.

There is hope that, from today onwards, any day ‘can be the right one’ for Manchester United to put their bid in for Amrabat, because ‘time is running out’.

Vincenzo Italiano wants his squad settled, and the rumours around his midfielder aren’t helping, with the belief that this week ‘will decide the fate’ of the player.

As always, Fiorentina want €30m (including bonuses) for their player, and should that happen, they would then turn their attention to either Corinthian’s Fausto Vera or Sander Berge at Sheffield United to take over.

For that, though, Manchester United need to ‘satisfy the request’ first.
