Club Brugge are working on getting youngster Noah Mbamba signed to a new deal, with Leicester City, Brighton and Crystal Palace all keen.
That’s according to Voetbal 24, who label the Premier League trio as ‘hijackers on the coast’ for the 17-year-old midfielder.
Earlier this month, we covered a report from France that named all three clubs as being keen on the youngster, stating that Leicester, Brighton and ‘especially’ Crystal Palace were ‘attentively’ following him.
Voetbal 24 now follow that up and cover how Club Brugge ‘fear the departure’ of the ‘super talent’ and so have sprung into action to stop it happening.
The Belgian club have already managed to get young talents such as Cisse Sandra and Lynnt Audoor signed to new deals, and Mbamba is the next ‘important dossier on the table’.
His current deal expires in 2023, but his situation at the club has changed, with manager Alfred Schreuder using him less than his predecessor Philippe Clement.
On paper, he is the fourth choice for the Brugge boss, but they are aware he has ‘incredible potential’ and want to ensure he sticks around.
They want to ‘get round the table with him soon’ to sort out a new deal, particularly because ‘there are hijackers on the coast’.
In particular, Leicester, Brighton and Crystal Palace are ‘keeping a close eye’ on his situation should he be available.
There’s no indication any of the trio have made a move as yet, but his name could be one to keep an eye on moving forwards.
