According to Greek website Sdna.Gr, Olympiacos are tracking Southampton forward Guido Carrillo ahead of the summer transfer window.
It’s reported the Greek club are in the market for a striker this summer and are evaluating players currently in the Spanish league, with the Southampton flop reported to be an option.
The 27 year old who’s currently on loan at Leganes, is reportedly a target for the Greek giants and Sdna claim first contact has been made to sign the player. Olympicaos are looking to rebuild their squad for next season after missing out on the Greek league title to PAOK.
Carrillo cost Southampton €22m during the 2018 winter transfer window but the Argentine failed to prove himself in the Premier League. Subsequently he was loaned out to Leganes last summer.
Very much a Mauricio Pellegrino signing, he joined the former Saints manager at Leganes on loan.
The attacker has made 31 La Liga appearances in this campaign, scoring six goals. Carrillo is under contract at St. Mary’s until June 2021.
