It’s been hard to keep up with all the updates on the Romelu Lukaku saga, as several reports continue to say that Chelsea are about to make a final bid for the Inter Milan star.

Now regardless of the numbers on the table and when the bid will be made, Gazzetta Dello Sport features an interesting story about the counterparts that the Blues have been trying to include in the deal.

The outlet claims that this morning, Chelsea offered ‘a package of names’ to Inter Milan.

It’s said that Marcos Alonso was rejected, but they’re now ‘trying to understand’ if the likes of Emerson Palmieri and Davide Zappacosta ‘could be useful’.

Still, Inter Milan continue to be interested in making a deal for only money. Chelsea are said to have the ‘intention’ of getting to the €120m demanded by the Nerazzurri, but it’s still not clear how they’ll reach that number.

It’s said Marina Granovskaia ‘insists’ on adding ‘technical counterparts’, while Piero Ausilio and Beppe Marotta ‘resist’.

Gazzetta Dello Sport says more talks are expected this afternoon, as Chelsea want Lukaku as soon as possible so he can feature against Villarreal in the European Supercup on Wednesday.
